KND Metallic Samuel is making a statement.

Sired by Metallic Payday and out of Senoritas Awkan, by Senoritas Playboy, this four year old gelding - bred by Colby Lovell of Madisonville, Texas, and now owned and shown by Kollin Vonahn, is the first foal from Metallic Payday’s oldest crop to officially enter the rope horse futurities.

And he’s wasted no time proving he’s the real deal.

In just two events, held two weeks apart, KND Metallic Samuel has earned over $21,000.

ARHFA Oil Can Classic – Pre-Futurity Heeling (4 & Under) Finalist

Samuel made his futurity debut at the ARHFA Oil Can Classic, competing in the 4 & Under Pre-Futurity Heeling. Against a field of tough young horses, he showed incredible poise, talent, and trainability to secure a spot in the finals and pick up his first earnings, winning the first round with a score of 229.56. It was clear from the start—he’s got the tools to be special.

Gold Buckle Futurities Spring Roping – Futurity Heeling Champion

Just two weeks later, he backed it up with a championship win at the Gold Buckle Futurities Spring Roping. Once again competing in the 4 & Under Futurity Heeling, Samuel delivered consistency and power in every run to secure the win and a major check.

In just two shows, KND Metallic Samuel has already established himself as one of the most promising young rope horses in the industry—and he’s doing it as the first competitive representative of his sire.

The Future of the Program

KND Metallic Samuel carries the same grit, talent, and try that defines Metallic Payday, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead—not just for this individual, but for the entire Metallic Payday foal crop. With this kind of early success, it’s clear: the next generation is here, and they’re ready to win.
